LIBERTY FREE INDEED (LFI - for Females)

Immediate Goal

• Weekly Mentoring/Discipling

Long-term Goals:

• Transitional Housing for females released after being incarcerated
• Home for Unwed Mothers/Single Mothers
• Home for Displaced Teens

Justifications: LFI is a ministry open to women who have been incarcerated and need mentoring.  The premise of this ministry is to identify women who have served time and link them with a mentor. There would be weekly and bi-weekly meetings where women can come together to discuss the various issues they face acclimating back into society, their families as well as their various communities.

• Address issues (finding adequate employment, building and maintaining a healthy outlook on life) and define and build healthy relationships
• Help women negotiate the network that will work for them and teach them how to build viable lasting bridges that will connect them to a productive future.
• Identify women’s spiritual needs
• Provide detailed instruction and training in the word of God as well as self-assessments and value building exercises.  The initial curriculum would cover a 6-month period and their progress will be evaluated. The long-term goal is to have a residence where ladies will be able to live and receive in-house training.
